Reflections on my ’60 Minutes’ interview / The Boston Pilot

Reflections on my ’60 Minutes’ interview
By Cardinal Sean O’Malley, Archbishop of Boston, in The Boston Pilot

Last Sunday evening I was privileged to be featured on the CBS television program “60 Minutes,” which is actually three 20 minute segments. I was featured in segment two of the broadcast … From the beginning of the process I was aware that the questions would not be about the weather and the Red Sox. The program’s interviews include difficult questions that are often on many people’s minds.”

OK, Anne got the whole thing. O¹Malley must do a lot to relieve insomnia in the RCAB.

Am I missing something? What did he say in the Pilot except that he was asked difficult questions that were not about the weather or the Red Sox?

Thank you Lynn Norris. I am dismayed to say the least at the backwardness and the hubris of Catholics today. Where do refugees meet these days?

It is discouraging to read the comments on the Echo piece. So many Catholics, including the hierarchy who should know better, presume to know the will of Christ for the church in this millennium based on what He chose in conformance with the cultural customs of the time 2000 years ago. Such ignorance is why I am currently a Catholic refugee.
